We Conduct & Promote Safe Firearms Use
We’re proud to practice and encourage recreational shooting to maintain the rights bestowed to us by the Constitution’s Second Amendment.
WHAT IS ERGC?
The Escambia River Gun Club (ERGC), originally established as the Escambia River Muzzle Loaders (ERML), is a private club intended for its members and guests. Since 1978, our organization has prided itself at providing a safe, first-class shooting facility that can be used for family outings, friendly competition, sighting your rifle, or just relaxing via recreational shooting.
Our 22-acre facility features over 60 covered shooting stalls across ten separate firing ranges, and an NRA-certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) is always on-site.
RANGE HOURS & LOCATION
Cease Fire begins 15 minutes prior to range closing time. A Range Safety Officer is on-duty at all times the range is open.
The Range is generally CLOSED on Mondays, but we may be open on Mondays that are Federal Holidays. The Range is CLOSED on Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
If unusual circumstances (such as inclement weather) cause us to CLOSE the Range unexpectedly, it will be posted on the ERGC Facebook page. Note: You don’t have to use Facebook to see our recent posts, they are available at the bottom of this page.
You may also want to check the ERGC Calendar for special events that coincide with your visit.

REVIEWS & TESTIMONIALS
“Best shooting range in the area. Allows drawing from the holster, rapid fire, movement, etc.”
“Awesome place enjoy each time we go. Everyone very nice and helps when needed.”
“Had a good time today. Was able to help a buddy dial in new scope on his hunting rifle. He was able to shoot as my guest for $10 and after looking the place over is thinking about joining. Range Safety Officers are friendly and not in the way. We had a good experience here today!”
“If you’re looking to be treated like adults and seek reasonable freedom this is the place. I have been going here for awhile and love it compared to the high priced other local ranges. Clean bathrooms and fun responsible atmosphere.”
“My biggest regret is we had not joined sooner. We look forward to taking part in some the events and definitely look forward to shooting steel.”
“Great place to shoot. If you want to shoot slow, fine. But if you want to rapid fire and or practice drawing from the holster, this is the place to do it. Most ranges will not allow that. Plenty types of shooting matches to chose from. IDPA, cowboy, military, and a Ladies only match too. If you like shooting and moving, come to the IDPA match.”
“We absolutely love it at ERGC! The people (staff and members alike) are all genuine and friendly. All of the RSOs we’ve met so far are so knowledgeable and very helpful! We highly recommend ERGC!”
“We brought our whole family today and it was great! Staff is friendly and very welcoming to our 2 kids (ages 4 and 6). Excited to have a year membership and go often.”
“I like this gun club a lot, been member almost a year and will definitely renew my membership. With new stuff coming I am excited.”

The Escambia River Gun Club will host its first ICORE match on April 6th!NEW FLORIDA CLUB --- ESCAMBIA RIVER ICORE!
Escambia River Gun Club (ERGC) has approved ICORE as a new discipline, and it will be led by long-time ICORE member Dick DiVittorio! Escambia River ICORE is ICORE-122. The range is near Pensacola in the FL panhandle.
Dick is a former ICORE Rules Director and also started ICORE in Orlando, FL, first at East Orange Shooting where he was the gunsmith, then at Central FL RPC where ICORE is alive and well. After relocating to the FL panhandle, Dick and his wife Denise are finally looking forward to having fun with revolvers again at ERGC. Dick will be the club rep, Denise will serve as scorekeeper and registrar, and new ICORE members Dewayne Gainous and Glen Bryant have committed to working with them.
The introductory match will be on April 6, 2024, 9am. The summer matches will incorporate a classifier, and the August match will be a dedicated all-classifier match so that the new ICORE members will achieve a classification in at least one Division.
Welcome back to Dick and Denise, and thank you!

If you’re headed to the range in the next day or two, you’ll notice some large equipment! We have a crew out mining our berms for lead. This process makes some money for the range and ensures our berms are not packed with lead which could lead to a safety hazard. Additionally, Range 4 will be getting concrete this week! ...
