Training Opportunity - Carbine Class
The ERML Sportsman's Foundation (C3 Board of
Directors) is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a Carbine
Class at Escambia River Gun Club on May 14-15th.
NRA/NMLRA Membership Requirement Dropped
The ERGC board of directors has voted to drop the requirement that ERGC members must be members of the National Rifle Association or the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. Historically it was believed that our range insurance required this co-membership, but it does not. While we still highly encourage ERGC members to support and become a member of the NRA, you will no longer be required to be a member - effective March 8th, 2016.
American Marksman at ERGC
The Escambia River Gun Club is participating in a nationwide event that is being hosted by American Marksman in conjunction with the Outdoor Channel.
What is American Marksman? It is a .22 (rifle & pistol) competition that pits amateur shooters of all ages against each other, all competing for the title of The American Marksman. It is a three-level national tour of target shooting competitions in which competitors begin at the local level and compete to advance to regional and ultimately to the national championship event. The event begins March 1st and runs through May 31st.
Escambia River Gun Club is one of the local ranges where individuals who want to compete will shoot their qualifier. At ERGC we have designated Fridays and Saturdays from 9a.m. - 1p.m. for the qualifying times.
If you are an NRA Certified Range Safety Officer and would like to volunteer some time to help out with this event, please contact Jonathan Byrd who will be managing the event for ERGC. Jonathan can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Intermittent Range Closures
ERGC members, please be advised that we are currently doing range renovations on various ranges at different times through the week. These renovations sometimes cause the closure of a range, but the closures are typically for a short duration. If anyone has questions regarding range availability, please call the on-duty range safety office at 1-850-356-6534. Thanks for your patience during our construction. We all know that the end result is going to be awesome and well worth the minor inconveniences along the way.
