Latest News From ERGC

Military Rifle Match - August 30th

The August military rifle match will be held this Sunday, August 30th starting at 9:00am with the normal course of fire.

There will also be a side match with any hunting or sniper type weapon. Parameters are - high power rifle, bolt or semi action, caliber does not matter, no greater than a 3x9-40mm scope, the scope must be set at 3 power, no bi-pods but a detached front rest may be used. 5 rounds only, 100 yards shot from the bench at your very own 5 golf balls hanging from strewn line within 2 min. Balls must separate from the line when shot, weapons must be loaded one round at a time, shooters must have a spotter/time keeper. First to complete the course takes the full purse. If the course lasts the full 2 minutes the shooter with the most balls separated from his line takes the purse. In case of a tie, one round from the standing position at Jock the mad trappers tee cup, closest to the center takes the purse.

Glenn Wise is the match director.

Training Opportunity

The ERML Sportsman's Foundation (C3 Board of Directors) is looking at bringing various training opportunities to the ERGC membership. The linked document is information on a training course that we are looking at hosting and we would like to get a feel for the interest in this course. The course is a trauma medical course for gunshot trauma, which should be near and dear to every shooter. This course will teach you about the equipment you will need to administer aid to a gunshot victim and how to administer the aid. The course is $125.00 per person for the four hour course which may include live fire drills. Respond to if you are interested.

If you haven't made out to the range lately, you've been missing some major construction projects.  Here are a few photos --

Intermittent Range Closures

ERGC members, please be advised that we are currently doing range renovations on various ranges at different times through the week.  These renovations sometimes cause the closure of a range, but the closures are typically for a short duration.  If anyone has questions regarding range availability, please call the on-duty range safety office at 1-850-356-6534.  Thanks for your patience during our construction.  We all know that the end result is going to be awesome and well worth the minor inconveniences along the way.
